Description

World Learning seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to support the B-CREATE (Building Community Resilience through Education and Training for Employment) program. This program improves the workforce readiness and civic engagement skills of Algerian youth by support the establishment and/or strengthening of Community Connection Centers in the communities of El Oued, Batna, Adrar, Tamanrasset, Djanet and Illizi. Key program components include soft skills development, civic engagement, and English conversation training. The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing M&E systems and processes.


Missions

  •  Develop and maintain the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (MEP) and data management trackers.
  •  Work with the Program Director and project colleagues to prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the donor and project partners.
  •  Work with Project Team to monitor progress on performance targets and indicators.
  •  Ensure that the MEP and related documents and instruments are properly updated and available to all relevant project partners.
  •  Manage the Data Collection and Analysis Process.
  •  Develop systems and mechanisms for collecting project data on the MEP indicators.
  •  Develop and train users on data collection forms, instruments and tools.
  •  Ensure that data comes in a timely manner and is accurately recorded (manually/electronically).
  •  Provide project management with regular updates and reports on data and analysis of that data.
  •  Assist in the preparation of regular reports to the donor (quarterly, semi-annual, annual, etc).
  •  Ensure data quality and that data has been accurately collected, recorded, input and stored.
  •  Conduct routine spot checks to ensure data has been accurately collected from stakeholders.
  •  Build capacity of staff and partners through training and technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation systems, use of tools and instruments to collect data.

Profile

  •  University degree from an accredited institution in a field that requires the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data.
  •  Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  •  Experience in survey design, data cleaning, analysis, interpretation and reporting.
  •  Working professional fluency in English with communicative ability in Arabic and French.
